Larry Jordan Announces Closed Captioning Added to Final Cut Pro X Training

Oak Park, California (PRWEB) May 14, 2012

Two titles in Larry Jordan’s Final Cut Pro X training are now closed captioned, Larry Jordan, internationally renowned Apple trainer, announced today. He took the unusual step of making his NLE training closed captioned after a seminar he taught at Gallaudet University in Washington, D.C., the world leader in liberal education and career development for deaf and hard of hearing students.

“Both hearing and non-hearing students attended my Final Cut Pro X seminar at Gallaudet last autumn so we arranged to have sign language interpreters,” said Larry Jordan. “Those interpreters were provided by Mandy David’s wonderful, Florida based company, JFD Communications, LLC. From her I learned that closed captioning would improve accessibility not only to the deaf and hard-of-hearing, but to individuals who do not speak English as a first language. So, I asked Mandy to take on the challenge of closed captioning my training.”

The challenge was significant, more than 90 individual video files, containing more than 11 hours of in-depth, technical training which required detailed transcription and careful placement of closed captions so that the text would not block key features of the software.

“Taking on a captioning project this large takes commitment,” said Mandy David, President of JFD Communications. “I’m proud of my captioning team for the attention to detail on this challenging project. We are delighted to see Larry Jordan add Closed Captions to his training series. It is exciting to think about all the people who will now have access to learn Final Cut Pro X from such an innovative trainer.”

“Closed captioning Larry’s Final Cut training took five months, and more than 20 people to create,” said Laura Peters, Marketing Director for Larry Jordan & Associates, Inc. “We are so pleased with the result. The increased access closed captioning offers to our global community means that people from around the world can benefit from learning this new software”

Titles available with closed captioning include:

Final Cut Pro X – Workflow & Editing

Final Cut Pro X – New Features (10.0.3)
