Marty Altman - Artist In Residence, University of Louisiana at Lafayette
Digital Production BuZZ travels down to the Crescent City - yup, New Orleans - this week for an up-close look at production in the Deep South. Joined by co-host, Ben Balser, we chat with Marty Altman.
Marty holds an MS degrees in Computer Science from the University of Central Florida, and years of experience in simulation, animated feature films, theme park attractions, games, and education. His credits include the feature films "Mulan" and "Lilo and Stitch" as well as the "Pooh's Hunny Hunt" attraction while Technical Director at Walt Disney Feature Animation and the "Superman Returns" game while Technical Art Director at Electronic Arts. He is a member of ACM and SIGGRAPH, IEEE and the Computer Society, IGDA, and holds appointments as Artist in Residence for the College of the Arts and as Associated Producer for the Cinematic Arts Workshop at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.

Lynn Robertson, Associate Professor of Television Production, Delgado Community College -
With extensive credits in production, Lynn Robertson received, In May of 2008, the Seymour Weiss Excellence In Teaching Award at Delgado, the highest award bestowed upon a faculty member. She was honored with her colleagues in service learning as an Innovator of the Year in 2007. Robertson received a “Shining Star of Liberal Arts” Award in 2006 and a Distinguished Dolphin Award in 2002, 2004. She has been a national presenter at NISOD, League For Innovation, the International Television Association, and the CCNCCE. She also served as the national Chair of the ITVA’s Golden Reel Video Festival in 1998. In our conversation, we will discover what it takes to teach technology successfully these days.
