Commercial BuZZ -- Kay McEvoy, Owner, Sunny Mac Films

Kay McEvoy owns Sunny Mac Films and has been in the film/video production business for 20 years. She began her career as an assistant editor at Instant Replay in Cincinnati, Ohio. When Universal Pictures came to town to shoot the movie Public Eye, she got an internship in the cutting room, syncing sound to picture. Today, she works with many advertising agencies producing regional and national commercials. We talk with her about the challenges of commercial production and what it takes to be successful.

Anthony Deptula - Filmmaker

Anthony Deptula is a native of Steubenville, Ohio, currently residing in Los Angeles. He’s a writer, producer and casual actor. Inspired by the mumblecore movement, Deptula believes in making movies no matter what the budget is. He spent the last two years making One Too Many Mornings, supporting himself with random jobs, such as researching pipes for a History Channel show, researching pine nuts for the show Food Tech, and producing a weight loss show for TLC. He also walked Danny Elfman’s dog once.
