UPDATE - Canon to launch EOS E1 plug-in for Final Cut ProFeb 12th, 2010 Canon has announced a new plug-in for Final Cut Pro, EOS E1. Set to appear on Apple's website in March 2010, the software is designed to import video from a handful of Canon's DSLR cameras. The current compatibility list includes the EOS-7D, the 5D Mk. II, and the 1D Mk. IV. The advantage of the plug-in is said to be support for Log and Transfer, which lets people select and mark video before copying it off-camera. At the same time, people can add custom metadata and begin editing work before all clips have been transferred. The plug-in will be a free download for owners of Final Cut Pro 6 or later.
