Logic Pro/Express 7: Logic Control input devices stop working when switching between Logic versions

When Logic 7.1 and 7.2 are installed on the same computer, communication can be lost with control surfaces. The solution is to power down the control surfaces and, after powering up, Rebuild defaults for the control surface. This will delete any user-created control assignments.

Logic Pro/Express quits when launched on an Intel-based Mac

Logic Pro or Logic Express version 7.2 may unexpectedly quit during launch on an Intel-based Macintosh if the control surface preferences file has been copied from a PPC Mac. Delete the preference file located at:

~/Library/Preferences/Logic/ (Logic Pro) or ~/Library/Preferences/Logic/ (Logic Express).

DVD Studio Pro 4: "Formatting failed" and "Muxer Bit Rate too high" error with H.264 for HD DVD

If you change either the H.264 presets in Compressor for HD DVD, by increasing the bit rate of the H.264 stream you may get a DVD Studio Pro 4 allows you to author DVDs with high definition (HD) video that conform to the HD DVD standard. There are two H.264 presets in Compressor 2 for encoding video for an HD DVD project.
"Formatting failed" error and the log would list "Muxer Bit Rate Too High" when you build your project in DVD Studio Pro. This can occur when you set the bit rate higher than the preset bit rate.

Either lower the bit rate in your custom Compressor preset, or turn off frame controls. Better still, use the presets unchanged.
