Apple Final Cut Pro: Exporting an Image Sequence in Final Cut Pro

Chapter: Editing

Topic: Output

Exporting a series of images from your sequence is performed a little differently than exporting a single frame image in Final Cut Pro. You can export a sequence of images in the format of your choice via exporting Using Quicktime Conversion. Set a range in your sequence for export using in and out points.

Creative Planet's Digital Production BuZZ joins Larry Jordan and Associates

Creative Planet’s Digital Production BuZZ has joined Larry Jordan & Associates, Inc., both companies have announced.

Creative Planet’s Digital Production BuZZ offers live interactive Internet talk radio focused on digital production, post-production, and distribution. This podcast and newsletter combination compliments the existing training, writing, and seminar business of Larry Jordan & Associates, Inc. Creative Planet’s Digital Production BuZZ was the first podcast on air about digital production, post production and distribution and remains the leader of programming related to the subject.

“I am delighted to help develop the amazing potential of Digital Production BuZZ,” said Larry Jordan, president of Larry Jordan & Associates, Inc.

“The video industry is exploding with energy and growth and the BuZZ serves that market perfectly. My team is looking forward to building upon the remarkable success created by one of the pioneering podcasters in the industry.”

Former Managing Editor of Digital Production Buzz, Philip Hodgetts (er, that would be this writer as well), has handed off Digital Production BuZZ to allow his company to focus on a number of new projects.  For more than a decade, Hodgetts has been accurately predicting the future directions of the industry for Digital Production BuZZ and other outlets.

Disclosure: I am still writing the news feed for Larry Jordan, and I believe Larry’s company will take the show to new heights. I’ve really enjoyed growing the Digital Production BuZZ, and appreciate everyone who considers themselves a loyal fan.  The BuZZ serves a rapidly growing market and I’m looking forward to watching the show continue to grow under Larry’s guidance.

Apple Final Cut Pro: Close All Sequences

Chapter: Editing

Topic: Tips or Shortcuts

In FCP, you can keep multiple sequences open and quickly switch between them by selecting the tab in the Canvas or Timeline window. That’s great but just like rabbits, sequences seem to have perfected the knack of uncontrollable breeding. It’s easy to have lots of sequences open when you really want to start afresh and just open one. So what is an editor to do?
