Your camera can shoot at different resolutions, aspect ratios, frame rates, progressive or interlaced. How does one incorporate a sequence shot using a different format than the project you are currently editing within Final Cut Studio and still get high quality results? This video tutorial covers both progressive and field-based source material. In particular, an example using a 30fps shot on Canon 5D Mark II in a 24 fps project and an example handling NTSC in a field-based PAL project as well requiring aspect ratio conversion and a resizing operation. You can use these examples as a base to frame rate convert any progressive sequence as well as interlaced NTSC or PAL video in Final Cut Pro.
