Join host Larry Jordan, and co-host Michael Horton, as they talk with:
Todd Weaver, CEO of ivi.TV, launched his new website – ivi.TV – last week and was immediately bombarded by Cease & Desist orders from every media company on the planet. The National Association of Broadcasters accused him of copyright infringement. Yet, all ivi.TV has done is retransmit broadcast television signals on the Internet, while paying license royalties according to the law. So, this week, ivi.TV counter-sued. Tune in this week as we learn about the issues in this fight and get ivi.TV’s point of view on why broadcasters are so worried.
Jessica Sitomer, president of The Greenlight Coach, and a regular on The Buzz, returns to help all of us improve our resumes. What should you put on yours? What questions should you anticipate? What should you leave off? Along the way, we want to find out which is more important — a good resume or a good demo reel?
Ravian Budde, marketing manager and director for CoreMelt, joins us to talk about their latest release: Lock & Load Express. Lock & Load Express harnesses much of the key functionality for DSLR cameras found in Lock & Load X, including rolling shutter reduction, but in a simplified version that caters primarily to videographers and prosumers using DSLR cameras and working on Apple’s entry level Final Cut Express editing software. He stops by to tell us more about it and the rest of their plug-ins in this week’s show.
Jonathan Handel, Of Counsel at Troy/Gould, and legal correspondent for The Buzz, wraps up our discussion of the legal issues surrounding ivi.TV with his analysis, as well as their implications for producers, filmmakers and consumers.
You can’t find people or interviews like this anywhere else! It’s another fascinating show – all the information you need now to know what’s coming next!
