Thomas Bauer, Developer, Clip Touch

Thomas Bauer, CEO of Factorial Ltd, began developing software for the Mac in 2004. Born in Austria and now living in New Zealand, he co-founded Factorial Ltd in 2009 specifically to create products for broadcast and production. Recently, he developed AssetKit, a a licensable Cocoa Framework to natively access Final Cut Server and ClipTouch, the Final Cut Server client for iPad. This is too cool to pass up, so we invited him to join us this week so we can learn more about it.

Rob Beadle, Founder & Senior Editor, Copper Post

Founded in 2002, Copper Post specializes in ideas. Good ones, bad ones, weird ones, smart ones, hard ones and eventually, when the brainstorming is done, the best one. To find those ideas they are using Resolve on the Mac, developed by Blackmagic Design. Copper Post has produced award-winning and nationally recognized commercials, documentaries, feature films and marketing videos for a diverse client base. We asked Rob Beadle, founder of Copper Post to explain the benefits of using Resolve for his company.

Patrick Grosswendt, Director, Broadcast Division, and Product Specialist

LED lighting had taken the world by storm and LitePanels is leading the charge. Patrick Grosswendt, Director, Broadcast Division and Product Specialist, is one of the co-founders of LitePanels Inc. (now a part of the Vitec Group), which is known for its Emmy-award winning energy-efficient LED lighting fixtures for the television, motion picture, and audio-visual industries. Pat  also has over 25 years of hands-on experience in the lighting business as a lighting technician for television and motion pictures. We invited him on this week for his perspective on the how and why of LED lights.
