Christina Garza from G-Technology discusses their acquisition by Western Digital and their renewed marketing visibility. She discusses their new capacities for their products with a storage of 14 terabytes, new ruggedized SSDs and blindingly-fast SSDs using NVMe technology.
BeBop Technology’s Michael Kammes talks about what caught his attention at NAB 2019 thus far. He describes Avid’s new interface and their embrace of The Cloud. He also mentions Sony and how they released a brand new camera with NDI built into it. Some trends he talks about are high-quality PTZ cameras with 4k and 5k resolutions, as well as AI and machine learning.
James DeRuvo with doddleNews wraps up Day 3 explaining how he wasn’t a fan of the connected car exhibit that enables streaming digital to your car. He also reviews all the other tech he saw throughout the day and talks about his extended interview with Josh Apter. Another trend he noticed was new technology using “old school” workflow to move forward to minimize wasted effort.

Michael Horton, from LACPUG, brags about his Lifetime Achievement Award. He talks about how he’s all about building community through his user group and at NAB 2019. He’s always looking for ways to collaborate with new people. He discusses what his thoughts are for next year and how he hopes “Faster Together” returns next year.

They recently received $10 million in data partnerships to enhance size of their household database and begin planning for international expansion. He also talks about how they’re not a provider for data but more of a facilitator for a data bases that help enable better viewer analytics

LTN Global’s Malik Khan talks about how they have a global network providing live streaming services for broadcasts with data centers located in three continents. He also explains why streaming using LTN is better than simply streaming a file to the Internet. In addition, he speaks upon how they recently acquired a company called Niles.

Frame.io’s Emery Wells talks about their video review software and collaboration. He explains their long-term investment in security. He also showcases their latest features such as PDF support, @ mentioning, new private team commenting, integrated archiving and newly-released API.
Nick Mattingly with Switcher Studio, talks about their mobile production platform that allows you to edit your videos while you shoot with the use of an iPhone or iPad. He introduces Switcher for Teams, which can help users in the same company create multiple profiles to manage multiple accounts standardize graphics and looks between accounts. He also announced a partnership with LinkedIn and Microsoft for streaming distribution.
Christopher Spahr and DPA Microphones emphasizes that their sound quality and size of their microphones sets them apart from competitors. He announces a new model series, the “6066 lavalier microphone” which is only 3mm in size and gives a much more accurate sound.

SmallHD’s Dale Backus explains how their field monitors has an emphasis in user experience and interface. He emphasizes how they’re a cost effective monitor, with sufficient brightness to be seen even in daylight. He also talks about how they fixed many of the features in their 702 Bright Monitor based on customer feedback and describes the different monitors they have.
Brenda Klemme from K-Tek discusses how their microphone boom poles have been revolutionizing the on-set audio industry since 1996. The poles use high-tech, carbon fiber and are considered an extension of the audio operator’s body. She also talks about how they’ve been expanding their product line outside boom poles, into equipment bags and backpacks.

He describes new features such as third-party integration with Apple, new extensions, AI integration and more.
ChryronHego’s Drew Hahn discusses how their product has been changing the sports world for over 50 years and how their controls span multiple uses. He talks about how their product tracks athlete performance and generates related statistics to make the at home viewing experience unique. He also announces the product no longer needs a large truck of people to use anymore and all the other features they released.

Dr. Arianne Hinds describes the origin of IDEA (Immersive Digital Experiences Alliance) who launched at this year’s NAB. Their goal is to create an alliance to define a format that meets the needs of all immersive media and the capabilities of visual displays. She invites input from all filmmakers.
