    • Western Digital’s Erik Weaver discusses how they plan for future storage needs. He talks about how over the last few years they’ve acquired San Disk and HGST. He also projects that by 2020 they’ll have a storage device that can hold up to 40 terabytes.

    • Christina Garza from G-Technology discusses their acquisition by Western Digital and their renewed marketing visibility. She discusses their new capacities for their products with a storage of 14 terabytes, new ruggedized SSDs and blindingly-fast SSDs using NVMe technology.
  • Michael KammesDirector of Business Development, BeBop Technology
    • BeBop Technology’s Michael Kammes talks about what caught his attention at NAB 2019 thus far. He describes Avid’s new interface and their embrace of The Cloud. He also mentions Sony and how they released a brand new camera with NDI built into it. Some trends he talks about are high-quality PTZ cameras with 4k and 5k resolutions, as well as AI and machine learning.
  • James DeRuvo, Editor-in-Chief, doddleNews
    • James DeRuvo with doddleNews wraps up Day 3 explaining how he wasn’t a fan of the connected car exhibit that enables streaming digital to your car. He also reviews all the other tech he saw throughout the day and talks about his extended interview with Josh Apter. Another trend he noticed was new technology using “old school” workflow to move forward to minimize wasted effort.

He also looks to the future and discusses the expansion to the Convention Center in a couple years.

    • SPROCKIT’S Stephanie Bauer Marshall talks about how she helps connect small start-up companies with large media companies. They find and understand the challenges for companies like Fox, Verizon and others and match them with startups to help foster innovation and provide opportunities on both sides of the equation.
  • Tim SmithSr. Advisor, Film and TV Production, Canon
    • Tim Smith with Canon describes Canon’s newest lenses and lens technology. He also talks about the development of a new technology, in conjunction with Sony, called Aria.
  • Michael Horton, President, LACPUG
    • Michael Horton, from LACPUG, brags about his Lifetime Achievement Award. He talks about how he’s all about building community through his user group and at NAB 2019. He’s always looking for ways to collaborate with new people. He discusses what his thoughts are for next year and how he hopes “Faster Together” returns next year.

    • Streann Media’s Gio Punzo describes how their product helps redistribute live streaming content on Facebook and Twitter. He also talks about how they can increase viewer engagement. He also discussed new features which include video polls and HQ trivia.
  • Eric Knutson, VP of Client Services / Co-Founder, Wicket Labs
    • Eric Knutson with Wicket Labs talks about how they enable clients to present a universal view in a third-party distribution channels and providing detailed understanding of stream effectiveness. He also discusses how they’re now able to track video views by geo location and more.
  • Andre Swanston, CEO, Tru Optik
    • Tru Optik’s Andre Swanston talks about how they analyze viewer statistics to help content providers and ad agencies to better understand their clients. They recently received $10 million in data partnerships to enhance size of their household database and begin planning for international expansion. He also talks about how they’re not a provider for data but more of a facilitator for a data bases that help enable better viewer analytics

    • Cooke Optics began in the 1880s. Les Zellan talks about the lens-making business and how they now have 10 different series of lenses they provide. He also speaks upon how they develop and use different glass for a particular lens and how they differentiate themselves from their competitors.
  • Russell Wise, Senior President of Sales and Marketing, Digital Nirvana
    • Russell Wise, with Digital Nirvana, describes how they provide knowledge of compliance, management solutions and services across the globe. Their audience includes networks, TV stations and governments across the United States and outsIde the country as well. He also talks about how they recently added a Cloud-based service to help their clients, including independent filmmakers.
  • Malik Khan, Executive Chairman, LTN Global
    • LTN Global’s Malik Khan talks about how they have a global network providing live streaming services for broadcasts with data centers located in three continents. He also explains why streaming using LTN is better than simply streaming a file to the Internet. In addition, he speaks upon how they recently acquired a company called Niles.

    • Frame.io’s Emery Wells talks about their video review software and collaboration. He explains their long-term investment in security. He also showcases their latest features such as PDF support, @ mentioning, new private team commenting, integrated archiving and newly-released API.
  • Nick MattinglyCEO / Co-Founder, Switcher Studio
    • Nick Mattingly with Switcher Studio, talks about their mobile production platform that allows you to edit your videos while you shoot with the use of an iPhone or iPad. He introduces Switcher for Teams, which can help users in the same company create multiple profiles to manage multiple accounts standardize graphics and looks between accounts. He also announced a partnership with LinkedIn and Microsoft for streaming distribution.
  • Christopher SpahrVP of Sales and Marketing, USA, DPA Microphones
    • Christopher Spahr and DPA Microphones emphasizes that their sound quality and size of their microphones sets them apart from competitors. He announces a new model series, the “6066 lavalier microphone” which is only 3mm in size and gives a much more accurate sound.

    • SmallHD’s Dale Backus explains how their field monitors has an emphasis in user experience and interface. He emphasizes how they’re a cost effective monitor, with sufficient brightness to be seen even in daylight. He also talks about how they fixed many of the features in their 702 Bright Monitor based on customer feedback and describes the different monitors they have.
  • Brenda Klemme, CEO, K-Tek
    • Brenda Klemme from K-Tek discusses how their microphone boom poles have been revolutionizing the on-set audio industry since 1996. The poles use high-tech, carbon fiber and are considered an extension of the audio operator’s body. She also talks about how they’ve been expanding their product line outside boom poles, into equipment bags and backpacks.
  • Greg Dolan, Chief Commercial Officer, Xytech
    • Xytech’s Greg Dolan joins us to talk about their facility management software which now has a new interface. He explains about how easy it is to install with an excellent team of engineers for installation and support, and how they now provide both on-site and Cloud offerings.

He also explains their file auditing feature addressing security, then explains in depth what auditing is and discusses all their new features.

    • In their 20th anniversary, Primestream’s David Schleifer articulates how they have a unique approach to media management by focusing on listening to customers and developing features that customers needs. He describes new features such as third-party integration with Apple, new extensions, AI integration and more.
  • Drew Hahn, Director of Product Management, Graphics and Workflow, ChyronHego
    • ChryronHego’s Drew Hahn discusses how their product has been changing the sports world for over 50 years and how their controls span multiple uses. He talks about how their product tracks athlete performance and generates related statistics to make the at home viewing experience unique. He also announces the product no longer needs a large truck of people to use anymore and all the other features they released.

    • CueScript’s Michael Accardi explains their full range of teleprompters and also their Mac-based software. He talks about their new CSMV2 prompters that come in 17 and 19 inch sizes. He also discusses their prompter for PTZ ca,eras with all the other new announcements at NAB 2019.
  • Dr. Arianne HindsChairman of the Board, IDEA
    • Dr. Arianne Hinds describes the origin of IDEA (Immersive Digital Experiences Alliance) who launched at this year’s NAB. Their goal is to create an alliance to define a format that meets the needs of all immersive media and the capabilities of visual displays. She invites input from all filmmakers.
  • Maxim JagoDirector, MaximJago.com
    • Maxim Jago from MaximJago.com talks about how the energy at NAB 2019 has been noticeably higher than in years past with the acceptance of more women entering the tech industry. He also discusses the benefits of 8K acquisition and his interest in VR headsets and VR technology.
